Our rotating coiled tubing drilling units are particularly suited to depleted reservoirs where underbalance drilling and the redrilling of wells with zero formation damage would be particularly relevant. An example is given below of a production curve from wells which have been drilled in Sajaa in the United Arab Emirates with conventional coiled tubing units. The wells are re-entry wells into a severely depleted field.
The before and after UB effects can be quite clearly seen:

This is part of an ongoing campaign and has been applied so far to 17 wells. The production uplift can be clearly seen but the drilling process is constrained by the standard limitations of drilling with coiled tubing.
The application of RRL to a conventional gas field would give potentially similar results through the removal of the mechanism of wellbore damage combined with the technical advantages of an RRL unit as opposed to conventional coil tubing drilling or jointed pipe underbalanced drilling.
